"We Ate the Children last" by Yann Martel is a great fiction story that illustrates the consequences of using unauthorized medical procedures. The story begins by introducing a character who is in need of this life saving surgical procedure; However, this procedure turns out to be disastrous for the society. Individuals who go through this process, become “Zombie” like individuals that are essentially searching for garbage remains and human beings to digest. Furthermore, the city becomes a lost cause as society is placed in danger to do the drastic negative effects of the illegal procedure.
