The Humongous Fungus, bigger than an elephant?

From time to time on social media, there is some photo of a giant mushroom, nicknamed the ''humongous fungus'' that comes out, claiming it to be the largest living being in the world. The last one being dated was a post on Facebook in July 2020. Just like all the previous photos through the years, the person who post it claim it to be the Armillaria Ostoyae (honey mushroom), who would supposedly live somewhere in the Malheur National Forest, in Oregon (Wagner, B. USAToday. 2021). But tourists were always disappointed to never being able to find it.
