After watching the first episode of The Last Kingdom, it got me thinking about the way of life in England during the Germanic invasions. Life seemed hard or at least they had to work hard to live. Indeed, you had to be lucky and be born in a country where the earth was rich enough to grow food like fruits, veggies, or cereals. There were also threats of invasions in England, which, I guess, would bring a lot of stress to the victims of the invaders.
