Today’s society and environmental crisis can easily be linked to the Tree of Knowledge Story. At first, Adam and Eve are asked by God to eat the food from the gardens as opposed to the one in the knowledge tree. This is a condition they do not respect because they are influenced by the snake (evil) and therefore must bear God’s consequences. This example portrays our society perfectly: We always desire what we don’t have rather than enjoying what we do have.
