Writing about the pine tree helped me understand how important nature is to human survival. All though plants are viewed simply as objects, nature is more of a parental figure that has allowed humans to survive throughout history. When I see this pine tree, I think about my grand-parents. They had a home near a forest which was filled with pine trees that we would walk through when I when to visit. I can also see an unchanging tree, the same year round.
