In this creative exercise, I have chosen to show how in the autobiography, “Establishing a Ranch”, the author shows how the in the mentality of a cowboy, killing is an act of non consequences in terms of mental state. In the quote of “I could see those two Indians riding in the other direction just about as fast as I had been riding. I never killed an Indian in my life…” (155 Dobie), it shows how in the western media the act of killing is a very normalized thing.
