The Holi festival or “Festival of Colours” is a traditional holiday/celebration of the triumph of the good and the ending of winter finally becoming spring. The ending of the winter also symbolizes the blossoming of love and forgiveness to others. In my opinion, this ritual and this kind of feeling are universal to societies outside of India where similar values are upheld. Furthermore, the universality of this tradition of forgiveness and love is proven by the fact that multiple countries in the world practice a replication of the Holi Festival.
