Theme - The Great Gatsby by Ari Zergiotis

Many themes come to light F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. The theme I will focus on is that “just because one is wealthy does not mean they are respected and well-liked”. This means that money cannot buy you, friends, companions, or any sort of personal relationship with anyone. In order to build bonds with people, you need to be a genuine, nice person that they will like for who you are, not what you have. This theme is extremely present in the novel in the case of Jay Gatsby, a very wealthy man who throws parties constantly, but that doesn't mean that everyone liked him.
