While I was visiting the garden, I lifted up a log after the suggestion of the gardener. What it revealed to me was a whole new world to which I had previously given little to no thought. This world, which was teaming with various different species, was now one that was thrust right in front of my eyes, one that I could no longer ignore. One that while we live our day to day above ground still goes on underneath our feet to which most of us do not give a single thought.
