Jonathan Montpetit’s article “Why ending Quebec's COVID-19 lockdown could mean freedom for some, but not all” is about the important decision Quebec’s Prime Minister, François Legault, had to make back in April. Legault needed to plan how he would “reopen society” without causing more COVID cases. He needed to make sure to avoid overwhelmed hospitals as well as decide who gets the privilege of enjoying more freedom. It was either between students, people who have already been infected or no one at all. However, people who are restricted from going out, will still receive welfare benefits.
