Why does our sense of wonder suddenly disappear? I think it's because nowadays, society only cares about children for one reason. Children will be the ones making the money and taking over in the future. Childhood is a myth. Society wants children ready and qualified as soon as possible to enter the job market to make a family and start paying taxes. School quickly changes from learning while having fun to having 7 subjects with 4 exams every week. Hell, as soon as you’re 14 you can get a job and a debit card.
