I recently went to the exhibition of the World Press Photo 2023 in Montreal. There, numerous images, usually accompanied by a small text, explain what is going on in different parts of the world, either related to war, climate change, social inequity, etc. One of the magnificent pictures that I had the chance to see is one showcasing three Himba people. We can see two women and a man, all shirtless and wearing necklaces. The two women have a part of their hair tied at the top of their head. Behind them, we can perceive a shelter with a straw roof. The sun is beaming through the picture.
