In my opinion, for Tara to keep going in her life and in her education, she must leave behind her life in the mountains. I think that Tara is slowly realizing that as well since she is pushing back the ideas of her father more and more. For example, when Tara went to see the doctors, she understood that all the things she had been told were lies. As Tara keeps growing as person, she will start to understand and recognize all the lies that she was told when she was younger. I believe that it's only a matter of time before Tara leaves her old life behind her.
