The Inuit custom of adoption has an interesting way of being presented. Majority of the time it is when the grandparents take care of the grandchildren along side the parents. In other cases the grandparents would take in the children for a short term to help the parents stabilize financially. This relates to the system of learning from the elders which is what all the Inuit people did instead of traditional western parenting.
